Data privacy

Mathison AI is built on a simple principle: student papers are never stored. When a teacher uploads an image, it travels through memory to our AI provider, the pedagogical feedback is generated, and the image is discarded. It is not written to disk, saved in our database, or included in any backup.

• Account data: your email address and a hashed password (or your OAuth provider's identifier if you sign in with Google).
• Usage counters: how many papers you've graded this month, so we can enforce plan limits.
• Anonymous diagnostics: standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) used only for security and debugging. Retained for 30 days.

• The content of any uploaded paper or image.
• Student names, identifiers, or any classroom-level data.
• Marketing trackers, third-party advertising cookies, or behavioral profiles.

To read handwriting and generate pedagogical feedback, every paper you upload is transmitted over an encrypted (TLS) connection to Google's Gemini API (operated by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) and processed in-memory. Google acts as our data sub-processor for this single request. According to Google's published terms for the Gemini API, content submitted via the paid API tier is not used to train Google's models and is not retained by Google beyond what is needed to deliver the response. Mathison AI itself does not store, log, or back up the image or its content. By using the Service you acknowledge and consent to this transfer to Google for the sole purpose of generating your feedback. We do not share uploaded papers with any other third party.

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We respond within 7 business days. For users in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions, you have the right to access, correct, or export your account data.
